Cheryl Kisling Crouch Named Vice President of Development for UCDHSC

AURORA, Colo. (April 26, 2007) – Cheryl Kisling Crouch has been appointed vice
president of development for the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences
Center (UCDHSC). In this role, Crouch will provide overall leadership for development
efforts to benefit UCDHSC, with a special emphasis on securing individual major gifts.

Crouch has served as the interim vice president since late summer, 2006. During that
time, the UCDHSC development team has surpassed their fiscal year 2007 annual goal of
$32 million by a 46 percent to date.

“UCDHSC is in the middle of an exciting time of immense growth and change,” said
Crouch. “I look forward to working closely with my UCDHSC colleagues, the faculty
and most important, our donors in guiding the development team toward the next level in
private gift support.”

Crouch has been involved with higher education fundraising for 21 of her 22 years as a
professional fundraiser, 13 of which have been at the CU Foundation. Most recently, she
served as associate vice president of principal gifts at the University of Colorado
Foundation.

Prior to rejoining the CU Foundation in 2004, Crouch spent nine years at the University
of Northern Colorado Foundation and served as president for four years.
Last year, Crouch received the CU Foundation’s 2006 McCord Award, an honor given to
employees who exemplify the leadership qualities of former CU Foundation president
Charlie McCord.

Founded in 1967, the CU Foundation is the non-profit partner of the University of
Colorado whose mission is to raise, manage and invest private support for the benefit of
