University of Colorado Foundation Elects Twelve to Board of Directors and Board of Trustees

BOULDER, Colo. (Sept. 26, 2007)– The University of Colorado Foundation board of
trustees and board of directors announced the election of five new board members and the
re-election of seven returning board members. Elected and re-elected members will serve
a three year term beginning fall of 2007.
Richard E. Engebretson has been elected to the board of directors. He will join Mary Lee
Beauregard, Richard M. Burridge, Sr., and Andrea C. Dikeou, who have been re-elected
to both the board of directors and the board of trustees.
Fredrick J. Bradford, Larry F. Frey, Peter A. Mannetti, Karen L. Possehl, and Alan B.
Steiner have been elected as new members to the board of trustees. Re-elected trustees
include John B. “Jack” Kemp III, Laurie Vargas, and Steven A. Walsh.
Members of the board of directors have fiduciary responsibilities overseeing the business
and financial operations of the Foundation, while members of the board of trustees
oversee and participate in fundraising, strategic planning, and advising and assisting the
board of directors.
