The Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) office works with campus development officers to identify and cultivate funding opportunities. Gifts, pledges, and grants enable the University of Colorado (CU) to provide stellar education and to develop innovative technology and medical advances. CFR provides funding leads to both University of Colorado Foundation development staff and University of Colorado faculty. Careful stewardship of corporate/foundation partners strengthens relationships and philanthropic opportunities.
Giving to CU benefits foundations and corporations: foundations achieve their philanthropic goals and corporations gain community visibility, community partnerships, and potential employees with state-of-the-art skills. Foundation and corporate giving is essential to CU; it provides approximately half of the funds raised annually by the University of Colorado Foundation
What CFR does:
- Locates and develops new funding resources
- Develops relationships with key program staff members at corporations and foundations
- Supports development staff in preparation and submission of grant proposals
- Coordinates funding requests
- Stewards relationships with foundations
