Officers

CHAIR Jean L. Thompson (’64 BA) most recently has been a senior consultant in outplacement with Lee Hecht Harrison in Denver and Chicago as well as a certified mediator with CDR Associates in Boulder. She has almost 40 years of experience in health care, personal and career counseling, M.B.A. admissions, workforce education and executive development and mentoring. She has held management and consulting positions with Menttium Corporation, the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning and the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, as well as Lee Hecht Harrison. In addition to serving on the CU Foundation board since 2002 as a trustee, director, and chair of the Compensation Committee, she has served four years on the UCB Alumni Association Board. Jeannie is currently on the UCB Graduate School Advisory Council and is a member of the Music Advisory Board for the College of Music. She received a UCB Alumni Recognition Award in 2007 and served on the recent Presidential Search Committee that brought Bruce Benson on board. Jeannie and her husband Jack (B.A. and M.A. in U.S. History from UCB) live in Boulder and currently support the History Department/Graduate School, the Center of the American West, the College of Music Jazz Studies Program and the Colorado Initiative in Molecular Biotechnology.

VICE CHAIR Mary Lee Beauregard (MPA ’83) has served as a trustee of the CU Foundation since 2000 and as a director since 2002.  She was Director of Public Affairs for CU from 1987-92 and for five years after that worked at the Health Sciences Center as Special Assistant to the Chancellor.  One of her primary roles in the position was working on the acquisition of Fitzsimons, now the Anschutz Medical Campus.  Mary Lee is a member of the CU Cancer Center’s Board of Directors and its Advisory Board, the Steering Committee of the Center for Women’s Health Research and is a member of the Council of Advisors for the School of Medicine.  In 1990, Mary Lee received the UCD Alumni Recognition Award and in 2005 was the recipient of a University Medal.  Mary Lee and her husband Don live in Denver and support UCD’s School of Medicine and the School of Public Affairs.
