Funding Resources for Faculty
The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations, along with the CU Foundation development officer assigned to your college/department, can help you locate funding opportunities to support faculty research, new and continuing programs, students, and outreach activities.
Below you will find the University’s policies and the CUF guidelines on whether you should channel your funding application through your campus Grants and Contracts Office (also called Sponsored Projects) or through the CU Foundation.

Explore Campus CU Foundation Development Staff to locate the CUF staff assigned to assist your areas.
Visit Research Leads for access to website(s) that provide lists of grant opportunities.
Click on Other Resources for PDFs that offer tips on writing effective proposals and pre-proposals.
Because some foundations and corporations accept only one application for the campus or from the whole CU system, it is important to let your campus development officer know of your interest in applying so that we avoid multiple applications that invalidate all CU entries. You should also check with your development officer regarding applications to foundations. Because of intellectual property, human subjects, or other considerations, need to advance through the Office of Sponsored Projects. Check with the office of the dean, the provost, or sponsored projects to find out if such limitations apply to a particular funding opportunity.
