2003-2004 Annual Report

Was the medical director of Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield until his retirement in May 2003. Prior to his position at Anthem he practiced as a general surgeon for 28 years in Denver. He is an alumnus of CU-Boulder and CU-Denver, and received his degree in medicine at the CU-Health Sciences Center. DeLauro is past president of the CU-Medical School Alumni Association and a former member of the CU-Health Sciences Center Development Committee.

George A. Sissel, Esq. (EN ’58)

Was the Chairman and CEO of Ball Corporation until his retirement in 2002. He is a past chair of the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry. He serves as Chair of the Advisory Board of the CU-Boulder College of Engineering and Applied Science and on the Advisory Board of the CU-Denver School of Business. In 2003, Sissel was the recipient of the Board of Regents’ Distinguished Service Award.
