Innovative New Insurance Program Launched at UC Denver

The Business School at the University of Colorado Denver enjoys a distinct advantage familiar in real estate: location, location, location. Situated in Denver’s vibrant downtown business district, the school boasts local business partnerships that benefit students and businesses alike. With the renovation of the school’s new building at 1475 Lawrence Street, these collaborations will continue to grow.

A notable example is the new Risk Management and Insurance Program supported by a landmark gift from Colorado worker’s compensation insurance company Pinnacol Assurance.

Pinnacol’s multi-year $5 million commitment will provide new educational programs and scholarships for graduate and undergraduate students in insurance and risk management, fields in which expertise is in high demand. “With this program in place, the only one of its kind in the region, Denver will become the epicenter of risk management and insurance in the Rocky Mountain West,” notes Business School Dean Sueann Ambron.

The insurance industry faces fierce competition for business talent. This new program ensures that UC Denver will continue to serve Colorado by preparing the next generation of industry leaders.
