CU at the Olympics
It’s often tempting not to return from summer break, especially when you spent your summer competing in the Olympics. But not only did Jenny Barringer place 9th in the Olympic 3000-meter steeplechase (after breaking a U.S. record in the trials), she videoconferenced into class from Beijing, and returned to CU for her senior year.
Barringer is shooting for success both on the track and in the field of immigration law. “Being surrounded by incredible talent—not just athletes, but also intellectuals—has humbled me,” she says. “There’s always something more to aspire to, something a little bit out of reach to target.”
