Cheerleader, mentor, donor
During her retirement, Louise Bennett Reed could be counted on to cheer enthusiastically for the Buffs from the stands. But it wasn't just her familiar face that made her so important.
Endowments are gifts that keep on giving. Endowments are permanently invested by the University of Colorado Foundation, generating interest that is used for the purpose you choose to support—scholarships, graduate fellowships, research, libraries, lectureships, programs, and much more.
A portion of the interest income is reinvested in the endowment’s principal each year, enabling it to grow and provide a long-enduring stream of income.
If you are interested in creating an endowment, contact us.
For quarterly updates on the investment portfolio, which includes the endowment, see Investing in the Future of CU or the one page Investment Update.
